Bartlett Honored as Teacher of the Year Semifinalist
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Feb. 26, 2025 -- As a science teacher at Stillwater Area High School, Stacy Bartlett has been named a semifinalist for the 2025 Minnesota Teacher of the Year award.
Bartlett was recognized as one of 31 semifinalists chosen by a panel of 21 community leaders. The panel now continues to review the semifinalists' portfolios and video submissions in mid-March before selecting 10 finalists from the group.
Prior to the semifinalist announcements, Bartlett was joined by Hannah Reyes (Lake Elmo Elementary) in the pool of 142 candidates of nominees from across the state. A teacher in Stillwater Schools since August 2012, Bartlett now looks to join the group of 10 finalists to be announced in March.
The Minnesota Teacher of the Year banquet and award announcement is set for Sunday, May 4 at the Saint Paul RiverCentre.
Presented by Education Minnesota, the 2025 Minnesota Teacher of the Year will be chosen from a field of 142 candidates. The 2025 honoree is set to become the 61st Minnesota Teacher of the Year in a program that celebrates the tradition of excellence in teaching in Minnesota.
